Fig Tree News TeamFirst-ever donation campaign meets enthusiastic reception:

Thanks to J. Oswald Ingraham, Speaker of the House of Assembly; Central Administrators John Cox, Ivan Ferguson and Alexander Flowers; all participating nurses and clinics; Bahamas Fast Ferries for their shipment of the chairs; the Rotary Club East Nassau for sending their all-volunteer team to visit the four main clinics and assemble the chairs in advance of the Tuesday press conferences ... and Briland Modem Fund, for being the Wheelchair Foundation's Out Island project manager, fifty much-needed chairs were distributed throughout the various island clinics in Rock Sound, Governor's Harbour, Hatchet Bay, Upper Bogue, Bluff and Harbour Island. Unbelievably, this marks the first time ever that such resources have been made available to the Out Island clinics, and both Rotary Club East Nassau and the Wheelchair Foundation have promised to make the Out Islands one of their primary targets for giving in the years to come, given the dearth of common medical resources that the rest of the world takes for granted.

Good job to all!
