|Fig Tree News Team||Hall & Oates' management team called today to explain that Tuesday's 'Live At The Rehearsal Hall' was in fact shot in Toronto this past December specifically for Bravo! Canada, and is a separate Hall & Oates project from that recently shot in Ft. Lauderdale at the Hard Rock Cafe (complete with Vic Hum-referenced set, and featuring Briland's own Lorenz Hutchison on drums).
That show, titled "Our Kind of Soul: Live" is in fact still in post-production, and is expected to be available for DVD and VHS purchase later this fall at Amazon.com, HallandOates.com and at retail outlets throughout North America.
As of press time, management cited no plans to air the show via cable or satellite or network. As we learn more, we'll keep you advised ... and have in the meantime requested permission to show the DVD upon its release at Seagrapes Nightclub, Vic-Hum Club and the Barracks Street ballfield (across the street from Angela's Starfish Cafe), where Briland Cinema has a viewing screen available.
Thanks for your patience ...

|Fig Tree News Team||So sorry, everyone, but we've just figured out as well that tonight's show will air on Bravo! Canada only. We're in touch with band management, and will let you know as soon as they inform us of the U.S. airdate.
Thanks for your patience, and congratulations ANYWAY go out to Hogheads drummer Lorenz Hutchison on your sensational international debut on the show this evening!

|Fig Tree News Team||MUSIC’S MOST SUCCESSFUL DUO
BRINGS THEIR KIND OF SOUL TO BRAVO!
LIVE AT THE REHEARSAL HALL: DARYL HALL AND JOHN OATES
World Television Premiere – February 22 @ 8pm ET
Legendary musicians Daryl Hall and John Oates perform songs from their latest album, Our Kind of Soul, as well as classic fan favourites, for a lucky audience in Bravo!’s state-of-the-art Rehearsal Hall. This exclusive live-to-tape performance, hosted by Lance Chilton, has its world television premiere on February 22 at 8pm ET, [KKB: and features Briland drummer Lorenz Hutchison of The Hogheads, on a set that was built to replicate Harbour Island's historic Vic Hum Club].
Since Hall & Oates’s breakthrough in the ’70s with such songs as She’s Gone, Sarah Smile and Rich Girl, through to their career peak in the ’80s with such hits as Private Eyes, I Can’t Go For That and Maneater, the duo has remained a driving force in contemporary pop music. By 1984, Hall & Oates had surpassed The Everly Brothers as the most successful duo in rock ‘n’ roll history. Now, more than three decade after the duo’s inception, Daryl Hall and John Oates have released Our Kind of Soul on their own label, U-Watch Records, via Red Distribution Canada, a collection of 14 familiar classics that the duo proudly says “they have made their own,” as well as three new soulful originals.
In Live at the Rehearsal Hall: Daryl Hall and John Oates, the duo gives an energetic performance playing much-loved songs like Maneater and One On One, and cover classics like Used To Be My Girl, You Are Everything and Love TKO. The duo sits down with Lance Chilton to discuss their 30-year career, how the music business has changed over those years and their latest album.
The Bravo! Rehearsal Hall is a state-of-the-art facility featuring an astonishing electronic acoustic system that can dial up the sound quality of an intimate nightclub or the Sistine Chapel. The Bravo! Rehearsal Hall provides the perfect setting and sound for Bravo!’s Gemini award-winning concert series Live at the Rehearsal Hall, which has featured such diverse musical artists as Yo-Yo Ma, Ben Heppner, Diana Krall, Philip Glass, Ute Lemper, Bob Geldof, Daniel Lanois, Joe Jackson and Rufus Wainwright.
