KarolMr. Norman was one of the sweetest men I've ever known. So kind - and I cannot recall a single time (in 30 years!) when he didn't have a smile on his face. My thoughts go out to Mr. Norman's family. Mr. Norman, if you're listening, we will miss you so very much.

Fig Tree News TeamMr. Norman Higgs, a dear friend to the King family on Harbour Island, passed away at home on 28 February after a long illness.

Mr. Norman had been with the family since 1937, when at the age of 15 he became the caretaker of the property, which at the time was a 14-acre coconut grove. He became the foreman of the property when it became Coral Sands Hotel in the 1960s and remained with the hotel until he retired in 2003.

"Mr. Norman was a wonderful man who knew everything about the property, and always knew where everything was and knew how to fix it," said Sharon King. "He was indispensable."

Norman's passing is a huge loss to the community, and his love for life and others will be sorely missed.

Our prayers are with Miz Curline and all of the children. As we learn details of the planned memorial service, we will include them here.
