KimberlyIf you're ever in Magolda's neighborhood at 3:00 a.m., feel free to give him a shout hello. (Preferably from your golf cart, in the middle of Nesbitt Street.)

Fig Tree News TeamThe only cell phones that work in Harbour Island are the older TDMA format ones ... the new GSMs work in Freeport, Nassau and the Abacos, but not yet in the rest of the Out Islands. If you have an old Nokia lying around, you should be able to buy minutes from Batelco for it ... check in with Batelco manager, Lisa Aranha Thurston, (yes, that's two 'a's in a row).

Hope this helps

snowyWe just returned and the best deal on the island is renting a cell phone from Higgs Construction for $5.00 a day! And it works! We then got a Batelco phone card and they helped us put the minutes into it....a husband had to be connected to the states!

TbehWhat is the current access to cell phone service on the island. My parents, who have been going to the island since 1955 but have some health issues now, are going in a few weeks and they are trying to confirm that their phone will have service while staying at Runaway. Any advice?
