Fig Tree News TeamVolunteers can make or break a film festival. The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) (8-11 December 2005) is no exception, which operates with only a few full-time employees and not many more during the Festival. The rest of their help comes from volunteers. BIFF 2005 considers volunteers to be essential extensions of the staff.

Have you considered volunteering for BIFF?

The best part of volunteering with the Festival is that you can participate in this exciting, vibrant and rich cultural event that showcases the best emerging films and filmmakers in the world, while simultaneously letting everyone know that The Bahamas is an exciting cultural destination. The Festival is a lot of work, which is the hardest part. They'll be hosting many people from all over the world during the four days of the festivaland it is their job to make sure the festival-goers are treated well, kept informed, and are always enjoying themselves. With an investment of your talent, time and energy, you can make BIFF the best that it can be!

The BIFF needs volunteers now, during the Festival, and year round. If you wish to volunteer for the first annual Bahamas International Film Festival, please call the office for more information at 242-356-5939 or send an email to volunteer@bintlfilmfest.com You may also fill out an application and fax the form to 242-356-2991. BIFF 2005 appreciates your interest.

Thank you.
