Fig Tree News TeamThe Saharan Air Layer (SAL) is on its way to the Bahamas and FL.

The sandstorm, part of a weather cycle bringing tropical storms and hurricanes into Florida, should be arriving this coming week. Effects are minimal - hazy skies, dust on outdoor surfaces and beautiful sunrises and sunsets with red hues.

The huge sandstorm (about the size of the continental US!) is currently as far west as Hispanola, moving along on the tradewinds.
