Fig Tree News TeamHi, everyone:
Two members of the all-volunteer Fig Tree News Team got caught in Wilma's crossfire in southwest Florida and Fort Lauderdale, and Kimberly's off at her stepson's wedding in the very unwired Texas hill country.

Last word indicates that North Eleuthera sustained high winds for the better part of the day, with damage to Builders' Square's nursery and orchard, and some building damage on Spanish Wells. There has been no word of building damage from Harbour Island, and early reports indicate that serious winds buffeted Dunmore Town but that the island was spared the worst of the storm.

More information as it becomes available, but you'll want to keep an eye on the storm's activity via or Weather Crown (links at the messageboard).

Thanks for your patience with the tardy weather updates.

MaddieI got a call today from a friend on the island who said that all is well. Lots of wind yesterday. The water taxis were not going across but are back to work today.
