|Kimberly||Is the airport open yet for full-size carriers, though? The recent flights have been Cessnas and such. This is the latest info received from Nassau, earlier this month:

Hi not a whole lot has changed since my last report. CO will re-start service to ELH sometime in mid-October. Half (3,000 +) feet of
runway is useable. The remaining half has to be corrected. Due to heavy
rains the surface got soft as a result of all the pounding from the wind and rain. A new coat of cold mix with compressed pea rock will be compacked to strengthen the surface. Approach, parking apron lights, directional navaid signs; along with painting of the threshold all are still being worked on. This is expected to be completed soon. FYI.

|staystay||it amazes me that international air carriers are flying into north eleuthra and our very own-Bahamasair-is still not scheduling flights into north elh.-i was trying to book for the holiday and they are still not flying in-all other carriers are just about booked solid and what seats are left are priced ridiculous.|
