Fig Tree News TeamAs many Brilanders know, Birch Gibson built a great little superstore in the Bluff a few years back along the lines of the well-run supermarkets run by his cousins in Rock Sound, compleat with big-sized supplies of all manner of household needs, on the main road into Bluff. The local farmers market was amazing in its selection, and the store was frequented by shoppers as far south as Gregory Town, and as east as Harbour Island.

Reports of an electrical fire around 4:00p on Monday afternoon reduced the store to rubble, and as of 10:00p a fire truck was finally making its way to the north. No, we don't have a public fire truck.

Sorry to not have better news, but we're all in shock at the moment.
