Ocean FoxToday, with the invaluable help of Randall Johnson, Jef Fox rediscovered the dive site known as 'The Pinnacle'.

Whilst not a true ocean pinnacle, the site offers experienced depth-seekers a dive to remember. Rising from a hard rock plateau, a series of broad coral ridges greet the diver at 99ft. Enormous sponges grow undisturbed among sweeping gorgonian fans and sea whips. Curious Jacks confront the divers as they descend, and wary sharks stay just on the edge of the diver's peripheral vision. As if this isn't enough of a treat, divers are led to on particular ridge guaranteed to impress: rather than a solid mass, this one ridge forms a huge arch, the underside of which plays host to the incredibly rare, painfully-slow growing 'black coral'

The depth of this site places a serious bottom-time constraint on its visitors, so this dive is for 15-18 mins only. Worth it? You bet!

So, for those of you wanting to dive something a little more special on your next trip, come over to Ocean Fox and let us take you to this marine wonder.
