brilandbeautyNot to be picky either, but I think I thought the same thing Richard P just mentioned. Not to knock a good thing down or even impose upon this venture but briland children have had so much donated to them in the last 10 - 15 years... where are the results registerd? Will, these computers along witht he others improveour national GPA of a D?

Richard PNot to be picky, because I am picky, but what happened to the EIGHTEEN computers that were donated to the All-Age school by Walter Sofer back in the day? Or the FOUR computers that were donated to Church of God? Never mind the computercenter that used to be located at the district council office. Or the library for all to use ;;;;; what will be different this time around? More Bahamian local inwolvement maybe.

ShugappleThe Kiwanis Club of Harbour Island will be hosting its official Charter Banquet on Saturday, February 21st, 2009, 7:30pm at Valentine's Resort & Marina. Mrs. Seron Cameron-Dunn, Governor of Eastern Canada and Caribbean will be in attendance along with Lieutenant Governor Barry Wilmott. A contingent of persons from Kiwanis Clubs in Nassau will also be spending that weekend with us. The weekend will kick off with a Cocktail Reception at Pink Sands Resort on Friday, February 20th at 6:30pm. This will be a major fundraising event for us as we are raising funds to build a Computer Lab at the Harbour Island All Age School. This project will benefit not only the children on the island but adults too. In today's society there are so many negative influences and this project will be a means to educate and widen the minds of our young people by giving them a place to go, to learn about everything this world has to offer, thus providing them with opportunities. For those of you who are interested in contributing to this project we have an account set up at RBC, Harbour Island;Kiwanis Club of Harbour Island Building Fund a/c#7069156.
