Judy Harbour Island's Library Restoration Committee is having their major fundraising event this Friday, April 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Coral Sands Hotel's Beach Bar verandah. It provides a lovely tropical setting for our "Taste of the Island" Silent Auction.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5.00 at the Dilly Dally Shop, Dunmore Deli, or Island Real Estate. Purchased at the door they will be $7.00. Signature food from the island's well known hotels, restaurants, and local "take aways" will surely peak your interest and palates. After a glass of wine included in the price of your ticket, a cash bar will be available.
The "Silent Auction" has quite a selection of items graciously donated - art work by Diane Stonner and Barbara Melot local artists, gift baskets from John Bull, Dilly Dally, and The Blue Rooster, lunches for 2, use of a Boston Whaler for the day, drafting of a "will", a ski chalet in Canada for a week, an airplane tour of Harbour Island, a necklace by Conchita, plants from local nurseries and other items still coming. Something for everyone's interests. And all the proceeds will go towards restoring and revitalizing the Sir George W. K. Roberts Memorial Library. What better way to spend a Friday evening? And what better reason to spend/donate money? A fun filled evening under the stars. . . Do Come!
