JudyThe Library Committee is thinking ahead. We are making plans for possible programs to offer - family reading nights, monthly movie/video nights, a Bahamian history series, a planetarian/stargazing evening. Do you have ideas for programs, videos, slides that you could share with the community- perhaps a trip to Tuscany - slides of English gardens - some underwater shots taken on a dive trip . Let us know. Brainstorm with us! We have an offer of a video of Mel Fisher's "Atocha" expedition and are looking to obtain one of the sunken Spanish ship, "Concepcion".
In order to host these evenings the library committee must purchase or arrange to borrow the necessary equipment. We are presently looking pricing a video player, a projector, and a ceiling mounted screen. Post a message here or e-mail ( me with your suggestions or offer of materials.
Programs combined with books can make information come to life! Our Sir George W.K. Roberts Library will again reach out to the people. So, help us if you can, put on your thinking caps. Let us hear from you.
