|Fig Tree News Team||ArtsWalk co-producer Iris Lewis of Shells & T'ings reports that the recent art show was a great success for all of the local artists and musicians involved:
"Hey, we had good show day, with artists making anywhere from $6-1,600 that afternoon. Good news with these shows is that we can tally up to about $3,000 to $4,000 on a good day, depending on the amount of artists and musicians that are out there, and the Briland Modem computer centres on Eleuthera are getting ten percent of the proceeds."
The next Briland ArtsWalk show is set for Saturday, June 26th, during the Dunmore School fishing tournament weekend. If you're interested in participating as an artist, musicians of craftsman, just let Iris Lewis know [firstname.lastname@example.org] or e-mail coconutH2O@batelnet.bs for more information.
Thanks for the update, Iris!

|Fig Tree News Team||See you on Saturday, 27 March at the next Briland ArtsWalk showcase of Bahamian artists, craftsmen, musicians, storytellers and candymakers from all over Harbour Island and Eleuthera. We'll meet you on Bay Street, at the foot of the Government Dock in front of The Landing.
For more information on how to participate as an artist or a sponsor, see Iris Lewis at Shells n'Tings, or e-mail coconutH2O@batelnet.bs. Show producers would like to thank Barbara Daly, Barbara Melot, Inspector Sam Higgs, Lucy Neely and the Harbour Island District Council for their ongoing support of the series, proceeds of which benefit the continued development of community computer centers in Eleuthera.
