Message: Song is not the only Airline that will start flying from JFK directly to Nassau.
Jet Blue will start service from JFK to Nassau on November 1st, 2004.
Spirit Airline of Florida has applied with the FAA to start service into Nassau.
Laker Airways has just recently started service into Nassau, from Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, they seem to be doing quiet well.
U.S. Airways has just announced that they are going to increase all of their flight into the Carribean through Fort Lauderdale, and they are adding new routes in February 2005, who knows they may start flying into Governor's Harbour again.
British Airways is hoping to have 7 day service from London Heathrow to Nassau by February 2005, they currently have 5 flights a week.
Virgin Atlantic has just announced that they will begin flying into Nassau starting with 1 flight a week from London Gatwick to Nassau on the 18th of July, 2005. Virgin Atlantic was "Voted Best Transatlantic Airline 2004 by Travel Weekly Magazine."
With all of these new airlines beginning to fly into Nassau, the Government is finally starting to realize that Nassau International Airport cannot accomodate this amount of traffic, that is why they have begun to upgrade the airport now, but it still won't be ready at least for another 2 years.
Well, we'll see what happens.
