Hi not a whole lot has changed since my last report. CO will re-start service to ELH sometime in mid-October. Half (3,000 +) feet of
runway is useable. The remaining half has to be corrected. Due to heavy
rains the surface got soft as a result of all the pounding from the wind and rain. A new coat of cold mix with compressed pea rock will be compacked to strengthen the surface. Approach, parking apron lights, directional navaid signs; along with painting of the threshold all are still being worked on. This is expected to be completed soon. FYI.
