Fig Tree News TeamKnowing there is already some misinformation swirling around out there about the recent Lynx flight on 1/14, here is the real story:

Lynx's flight 700 was delayed yesterday due to weather in Ft. Lauderdale. Basically, the airport was closed to departures for several hours. When it reopened, we got permission from the Governors Harbour Airport to come at night, and made arrangements to have the lights turned on and paid overtime for all the officials to stay and wait on the flight.

We departed Ft. Lauderdale and, upon approach to Governors, the airport lights started going on and off. Out of caution, and with regard to safety, we aborted the landing and returned to Ft. Lauderdale. The flight was rescheduled for Saturday at noon.

Lynx acted entirely appropriately, and exercised an abundance of caution in the situation. It's the reason we continue our 16 year record of perfect safety! We regret any inconvenience, but everything that happened was out of our control and due to weather and our responses to it were consistent with the high safety standards that we maintain.

Thanks for the forum and the opportunity to post this messsage.
