Fig Tree News TeamEarly this morning the PM complained that he was feeling tingling in his hand and was immediately taken to Accident & Emergency to have it checked out. They admitted him to PMH and did a full scan and it was determined that he was suffering from severe Hypertension.

He is on medication and is being monitored by Dr. Perry Gomez and Dr. Conville Brown and he is expected to make a full recovery. Dr. Marcus Bethell is also on hand and is leading the press briefings on the PM’s condition.

The Prime Minister’s family is with him and he is said to be in good spirits. He is not being allowed any visitors at this time.

The last press updated was at nine o’clock this morning and the next update is scheduled for three o’clock this afternoon.

Cabinet will be meeting this morning as usual and both Minister Fred Mitchell and Minister Shane Gibson, who were off the Island, are on their way back home.
