dsandsEleuthera Bahamas- Five ladies of anointing and poise graced the stage at Revival Baptist Church to vie for the coveted title Of Miss Teen Gospel on June 5 2005.

Youth Minister Rev. Ada Sands organized the Miss Teen Gospel Pageant, which is in its second year. The Miss Teen Gospel Pageant goal is to showcase young Christian women in a high quality production that will best represent their culture, beauty, intelligence and talent. Most importantly, the contestants will further develop their self-confidence to a level where they can challenge themselves to achieve those goals with diligence, grace, intellect and style.

Adorned in Biblical costumes, the Christian young women introduced themselves to the audience as friends and families applaud them on. The five contestants were Crystal Cooper, “Eve”; Christine Cooper, “Sarah”; Darlicia Sands, “Delilah”; Terrilyn Sands, “Mary”; Karissa Cooper, “Gabriel”.

In the talent segment, the contestants ministered through dancing and dramatization. Countless encouraging messages were sent, particularly to the youth at this pageant. Special guest artist was ‘Divine Praise’ Jaynell Ingraham, who gloriously sang.

Festooned in dazzling evening gowns, the contestants elegantly graced the stage. The audience anxiously awaited the contestants' responses to the questions. The ladies gave their view on ethical and community concern, and the pageant was earnestly contested. Judging was based on talent, general posture and aptitude.
