Caribbean Jobs Online was launched today as the Caribbean’s premier career
network

www.caribbeanjobsonline.com was established to meet the needs of Caribbean
recruiters and jobseekers and eliminate poor job matching due to lack of
information or other obstacles in the job search and hiring processes that
inhibit employers and workers from finding each other in the region.

The site covers the entire Caribbean and will only feature jobs from
companies operating within the Caribbean, however, invite CVs from job
seekers worldwide.

The launch of CJO comes three months following the implementation of the
CARICOM Single Market & Economy (CSME). The decision to establish CSME was
a move to deepen the integration movement and to better respond to the
challenges and opportunities presented by globalisation. The Single Market
and Economy provides for the free movement of skilled labour anywhere in
the Caribbean Community. Intra-regional migration has long been a feature
of Caribbean labour markets and CJO will help to facilitate the growth of
this movement.

The site offers jobseekers the options to search for jobs by location,
industry and keyword, and to apply online direct to employers. Job seekers
can also sign-up for jobs by email and forward jobs to friends.

Employers are given a free profile page and are allowed to displayed
company logos for free. The service is competitively priced in a relatively
new market and jobs are posted for 45 days. All Employers also have the use
of their very own online recruitment management system.
