|environmental relief||Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
On behalf of E.R environmental relief,non-profit organization working for the protection of the environment and its resources, we would like to make mention at this time that we have planned along with the Harbour Island School Band and its Jr. Junkanoo group a week of Bahamian culture in Porretta Terme, a small town near Bologna, Italy. The date of this event that will take place this coming September 3rd – 10th 2006 under the theme:“Harbour Island: The Land of Water”. We would like to ask your support in helping to sponsor this event in making airfare easier, by being charitable in any upcoming events hosted either by the members of the school band or Environmental Relief themselves.
We were given this opportunity by the local government of Porretta Terme in Italy to do an event such as this and show case primarily the environment of Harbour Island and its culture to Italy, we realize that it would be away to feature and give more awareness to the island of Harbour Island and its people.
The benefits of sponsoring an event such as this, is that it will allow us, a developing small island to show where we’ve come from and where we as a sought after destination, would like to be in the future. More over the group that will be traveling will have the opportunity to observe the Italian culture as well; the students will be hosted by Italian students of the same age and their families.
They will spend 2 weeks interacting and learning from each other the respective cultures.
All the sponsorship participants will be commented upon and recognized during event presentations for their efforts.
