JimvpBio-diesel from the plant jatropha curcas (or physic nut) is gain interest around the world in that one acre can produce about 6 barrels of oil. It would seem that this might be a good plant to grow on some of the uncultivated acreage on Eleuthera and might help the Bahamas solve some of its energy problem as well a develop a new industry for the country. This plant is a relative of the spicy jatropha grown all over the Bahamas for its red flowers. Google jatropha curcas for more information.
