Tuck ShopHi hobiecat I just sent you an email with links to information that I have but you can also see the current Eleuthera phone book online at Eleu.net that has all the Harbour Island businesses listed.

KimberlyCharles Carey and a few friends of the Eleuthera Animal Rescue effort have put together a similar (paperback) directory as a fundraiser for the spay/neuter program on the island, too. Perhaps you two could put your heads together, with one group offering a printed book and the other an online offering?

Glad to see such good ideas coming of age, as God knows how long it has been since Batelco actually updated the Eleuthera directory listing ;-)!

hobiecatHello Local Briland Businesses:

We will be creating a directory of local services for the Barton House (website: www.brilandhouse.com) which we will feature both on our website and as a printable document for our renters. We would like to include a comprehensive list of Briland local vendors to feature on the list.

We were inspired by the idea to feature Briland businesses after speaking with many local proprietors and hearing concerns that even though the island is busy and has many visitors, they may not have the opportunity to learn about and take advantage of the many services local Bahamians offer to the tourists. We thought that one way to feature local businesses, and make it easier for guests to take advantage of and enjoy the benefits of getting to know local Briland businesses.

If you would like to feature your business on our list, please contact Mandy Barton Clark at mandy@mandybarton.net. Please include your business name, a photo if you would like one included, your location, phone number, and a brief description of your business. We'd like to feature as many Briland businesses as possible to make the list a comprehensive resource for our renters, and to fully market as many Briland businesses as possible.

Some examples (by no means inclusive):
Bakeries
Restaurants
Snack Shops
Vehicle Rentals
Bicycle Rentals
Boat Rentals
Straw Markets
Gift Shops
Fishing tours
Scuba lessons
Daytrip excursions
Water Delivery
Convenience Stores
Grocery Stores
Liquor Stores
Fruit and Vegetable gardens

If you have any questions, or would like to include your business on our list, please contact Mandy Barton Clark at mandy@mandybarton.net.
