Fig Tree News TeamCalling all artists, and all artlovers:

Friday, 27 December [10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.]
Bay Street, in front of The Landing
Dunmore Town, Harbour Island

Local Bahamian and Haitian artists ** painters, sculptors, and writers from Harbour Island and Eleuthera ** will showcase their latest works on the bayside this month, and invite you to take a look at their current projects. You’ll meet painter Dorothy Rahming [Governor’s Harbour]; novelist George Major [“Romance, Kalik and Conch Salad” - Tarpum Bay], master craftsman Karen Goodfellow [Governor’s Harbour] and artist Iris Lewis [Harbour Island], with many more such creative folks planning to exhibit their artwork and recreate their latest performances.

You’re welcome to browse the harbourside on Friday, 27 December from 10:00a – 5:00p. Bahamian refreshments will be available, and partial proceeds from the arts showcase will benefit the Briland Community Computer Center, located at the library.

For more information about the show or to register as an artist/writer/musician to participate in the island showcase, please see Iris Lewis at 333 2839 or e-mail
