ash12through this act commonage land is being taken from commoners under our noses. We,re sitting on idea that we stil have some 6000 acres but news has come to my ears and many others. the whole area of bamboo point has been aquired by the government! for what purpose i dont know! BEC has aquired less than two acres for a sub station,,for better power supply, atleast thats what they say. if BEC cant handle a 1/4 mile area up at the southern end of harbour Island, how in the world could they handle an area lil less than 2miles with big boats and shallower water to run power cables! back to the bamboo point area, my estimation that area is about 200 to 300 acres. which is occupied by alot of commoners including myself. something has to be done!
