JudyBooks are down from the shelves and the wonderful carpenters, Glenroy, Magolda, and Thomas have done their part. They have redesigned the shelves to keep the books away from the walls. We are now ready to prep the walls and shelves for paint. Are there a few good men? And women? who will help Doddie, Don, and Ben with the painting? More hands will make the work go more smoothly. We need man/woman power beginning Monday, March 10, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Bring rags, a scrub brush, sandpaper, and a brush. Glenroy has provided the paint with help from a generous supply store on Spanish Wells. Come to the library on Monday or Wednesday or Fridays. The more hands the better!!!
The plumbing and electrical work will be next. By Saturday, April 5 - our Library Festival Day - we hope to have the building ready for guided tours - to see the progress on the library side and to watch computer demonstrations. New computers are coming soon. Thanks to Coral Sands who donated new software for the children, World Book Encyclopedia can be used on line, dictionaries, fresh new math and reading programs are there too. You can watch as the books are catalogued and cards & spine labels are printed.
April 5 is going to be a great day. Look for more about this as plans unfold! In the meantime, come and help us paint! See you on Monday at 5 p.m. Mark those calendars.

Make this your library!!
