Brenda and Hannah won't be volunteering in the center until July 2003 ... and so the need for immediate volunteers is pretty dire if we are to keep the center open during the school-free summer months. Please coordinate with either Kimberly at or Kayla Davis at ... all we need is two hours of your time a week. Thank you!

KimberlyWe'd like to have enough volunteers to keep the centers open from 2-7 each afternoon. Right now, Hannah and Brenda host the center from 4-6 on Monday and Wednesday, and Kayla opens from 5-7 on Tuesday and Thursday. If other folks could fill in the missing hours, many happy kids and young adults would very much appreciate it ... and visitors could check their e-mail far more regularly.

Thanks --

KimberlyIn the meantime, wanted to give a shout to the current band of great center volunteers: Brenda Thonrberg [Monday afternoons], Kayla Davis [Tuesday and Thursday afternoons] and Hanna Dyson [Wednesday afternoons] ... backed up by the illustrious tech support team of Letario Higgs, Warwick Watson and Nicolas Johnson. Thanks, everyone!

Fig Tree News TeamSpeaking of youths, the Briland community computer center could use a few good volunteers to keep the center open on school afternoons. Anyone 17+ interested in helping out? We've got several dozen kids wanting to use the library computer center, but without an adult in charge we can't open the center. Please e-mail if you can help out. You don't have to be computer literate to manage the center ... just responsible with picking up and returning the library keys to the commissioner's office each day.

Thanks for helping the youth of Briland --

MysteryOn such a beautiful little island why is there the need to gossip? Instead of the adults encouraging our youth they critize and spread rumours to destroy the lives and confidence in our youths. What good is this? Everyone is not perfect! Instead of being so judgemental and gossiping about our youths, try to encourage the good in each individual for briland's sake!
