MaddieJust got this update from Dick Malcolm...
Apparently an electrical shortage in the Ministry of Tourism office upstairs over the Sugar Mill shop started the fire. Fortunately there was no wind so was reasonably contained. The Dunmore school (nextdoor) had only slight roof burn damage.. but the roof of the Sugar Mill I gather is virtually gone.. or will have to be knocked down to repair. A lot of water, from the bucket brigade, came down thru the floor of course into the gift shop owned and run by Norma Albury and her sister.
