December 4, 2003

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all local residents, foreign homeowners, and tourists who assisted in our efforts to evacuate the Dunmore School during the fire and protect our building. With your help we were able to save hundreds of books, our new computers, our piano, and school records from water and smoke damage. It was frightening for everyone who risked their safety.
With your continued support, we were ready to open our doors to our students Monday the 1st (just 5 days after the fire!). Many of our school families and local volunteers came on Wednesday and Thursday to mop floors, pick-up glass from broken windows, clean smoke off the walls and books, and restore the classrooms.
Thank you for your courage and determination. You are role models for our students and community.

Sincerely,
Melissa Sellars, Tracy Barry, Brenda Barry- Managing Directors
Patricia Masisak- Academic Director
Nancy Howsen- Faculty
