JudyThe Big Red Dog did visit the Sir George W. K. Roberts Memorial Library in spite of the rain. He really is a great fellow and he promises to return for the all day Book Festival in April. The North Wing room was filled as people realized "something" was going on inside. A beautiful Christmas tree covered with blue lights along with Elf Pascale playing carols set the mood. Corduroy the Bear's Christmas and Winnie the Pooh's Jingle Bells were the hit books of the afternoon.
As Clifford left , besides wishing us a happy Christmas he gave us an important message -- "Remember Boys and Girls, he said, Get Caught Reading!" Something to think about, and not only for the little ones.
We all waved goodbye to Clifford as he drove away in his golf cart stopping several places along the village to share his "message". Did you see him?? Merry Christmas from the Friends of the Library Committee.
