Fig Tree News TeamPer Craig Woods of the Ministry of Tourism:
The paving of the North Eleuthera Airport was completed two weeks ago. What needs to be done
now is the installation of the landing approach lights, painting of the parking apron and all perimeter fencing. Barring no setback with rain or storms, the airport should fully reopen by late September. All of the instrumentation for night flights has been installed, and it is now up to the operating carriers to file schedules stating their intentions to use this service.
