KimberlyThank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support the launch of the brand-new Dunmore School. Your generosity is much appreciated, and the latest addition to the Briland education scene is off to a rollicking start.

In the meantime, stay tuned for news of Briland's newest pre-school daycare center, too ...

Exceptional Education OutreachThe special education and literacy outreach project that has existed in Harbour Island and Eleuthera for the past 5 years is looking forward to another successful school year in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The project's new name, Exceptional Education Outreach (EEO), is proud to report that it is reaching over 110 students with the help of 4 full-time EEO teachers and other partners within the Ministry. EEO reaches children from Briland to the very southern tip of Eleuthera, working not only in the classroom setting but also providing several opportunities for teachers' professional development and parent involvement. The first seminar for the 2002-3 school year will be at the end of September and will include a visit from an interdisciplinary team of specialists from Nassau. Our goal is to create an on-going assistance program for the children with special needs on the islands.

If you would like to learn more about the project, become involved in EEO, or make a contribution (financial or materials), please contact EEO at or call 242-333-2006. We are very grateful for your consideration.
