If you don't already have a satellite phone in place, here's a suggestion for rental options.

Storm updates
Here's to hoping that Hurricane Frances bows out before she hits our lovely community, but it makes sense to be prepared for the worst. So that we can better streamline any necessary hurricane relief post-storm, please advise your colleagues and friends who possess satellite phones of the following hotline that has been set up to coordinate hurricane reports online:

Briland Hurricane Hotline
Please phone your reports in by dialing 1 800 MY YAHOO, Telephone 1 818 761 5688, and your report will be immediately translated to e-mail. Your report should offer information as to where you are reporting from, the estimated extent of the damage, and the day of your report. will then share that information with the internal Eleuthera online network to effect relief as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your consideration, and wish us luck on avoiding the brunt of Hurricane Frances' fury.
