As I sit here wrapped in winter's blanket of cold and snow, I dream of this time last year when my husband Jim and I headed to Harbour Island to soak up the true meaning of Christmas and the Millennium celebration. Christmas Eve, we heard Sammy and the choir lift up their voices from the back row of the Church of God. I had tears in my eyes as I had never felt such a spiritual surge in my life. I felt my whole family was there with me. My mother, Pat Hildt was there in spirit. I know she wasn't even mad at me for not attending mass at the Catholic Church!!
Every evening, we would pile into the golf cart after dinner and tour the island looking at all the beautiful lights on all the houses. Thirty five years of visiting....There is no place on earth as wonderful or as spritual as Harbour Island...there just isn't...
I have lived vicariously throught this message board. I have read about the computer center and the goal to bring a fig tree back to Harbour Island. God Bless you all!!!!!

Say a prayer for Clifford Mallory who passed away two weeks ago. He and his wife Pauline owned Java for many years. They were responsible for turning my parents on to Harbour Island back in 1964.
