Bahamasair preparing Out island airports for night flying. New infrastructure at the three Eleuthera Island airports is ongoing as Civil Aviation Bureau officials work feverishly to upgrade the landing and navigation systems at the three Island airports, North Eleuthera, Governors Harbor and Rock Sound, Eleuthera. Officials are optimistic that the works will be carried out successfully and that nighttime flying will be implemented soon. They guarantee the public that safety and air travel assurance will be the marquee of their work done in our beautiful Island.

In addition to work being done at the three major airports work is being carried out two at least two of the islands' local clinics. This much-needed work and upgrading of the level of services being offered by the local clinics comes at a time when Eleuthera is in need of such services. The main clinic at Governors, the island's major Clinic, its best-staffed and offering the highest level of service has been under this renovation process for several months, since last year. Estimates say that the work and upgrading of medical facilities will be completed by June. Along with this announcement the local administrating health official announced the opening of the newly-renovated local clinic in the settlement of Palmetto Point.

Could Central Government be listening? These much-needed infrastructural developments are much needed and have been long and hard in coming. The much-anticipated improvements are greatly appreciated by local Islanders. The announcements also alluded to the fact that increased staffing of the Governors Harbor Clinic will be necessary and implemented upon its completion, a few more people may be employed as a result. Tip of the iceberg fixtures, late but needed, Eleuthera's residents are both grateful and breathing a sigh of relief after much sufferance perhaps in time some deliverance from past atrocities may come.
