You won't find a much nicer place to stay anywhere in the Carribean, heck in the world. I have been lucky to find Runaway Hill in 1986, my first trip to the Bahamas and return whenever I can.

Harbour Island is a jewel in the Carribean, small and intimate, warm welcoming people and a world away from the stress of everyday living. Sort of like a carribean "Brigadoon". lol.

Seriously, you will have a wonderful time, Carol and Roger and the rest of the amazing staff at Runaway will make you feel right at home, and you will probably be making reservations to go back before you leave.

There are so many good restaurants on the island, and one of the most amazing beaches in the world.

You can swim, snorkle, dive, relax, read, or just lay and soak up the rays, to your hearts content.

During hurricane season, several places to stay that are closed during the Hurricane Season, for rennovation and vacation, so check and see the closing dates for the season. I am often there in the summer and though it is hot, there is AC everywhere and cold Kalik.

Have a wonderful time.

: I have read some good comments on Runaway Hill Club but think I saw somewhere that they are closed in the fall. We usually vacation in Sept or Oct. Anyone know exactly when they close? Their website does not indicate. Also any additional remarks good or bad would be helpful in our decision. We are also looking at Coral Sands but it did not get as many rave reviews. Thanks for any info.
