GRAY PREDICTS MORE HURRICANES
Colorado State University professor William Gray and his associates
have raised their prediction for named storms this Atlantic season from
nine to 10, including six hurricanes and two intense hurricanes. The
forecast also increases the likelihood of a hurricane hitting the U.S.
to 65 percent, and the team says 2001 is shaping up to be another
intense year for storm activity.
