Pros:
q There's never anyone at the beach.
q There's never anyone at Girls' Bank.
q What tower at North Eleuthera airport?
q Our idea of nightlife often involves a bonfire on the beach.
q The customs guy is friendly.
q Watch scored conch make its way from the harbour to your bowl, complete with lime juice.
q Fresh produce at Risha Patricia, Mr. Bert's or Mr. Hartman's.
q Wednesday afternoon fiesta at island stores.
q When Vic Hum is quiet.
q Rum again!
q Beautiful, friendly churches.
q Gusty's, Seagrape's and Vic Hum.
q You're out on the ocean in a hundred feet of water, and you can see your shadow on the bottom.
q Kalik.
q Does Miss Joyce have any more scalloped plums for sale?
q Queen Conch, Avery's, Seaview Takeaway, Angela's, Wade's, Harry's, Ma Ruby's, Niecey's.
q Cool artists work wonders with driftwood.
q Boat's in … come get your fresh veggies. Fast.
q Really great local music.

Cons:
q There's never anyone at the beach.
q Can't get the guys together for a round of golf on the local championship course.
q Where's the shopping mall?
q More than three golf carts on an unpaved lane is a traffic jam.
q When Vic Hum is not quiet.
q Their idea of nightlife involves a bonfire on the beach.
q Uh-oh, their customs guy is a little too friendly …
q Ketchup and mustard at the local restaurants come to the table in bottles, not packets.
q Wednesday afternoon fiesta at island stores.
q Rum again?
q People just walk around pulling weird fruit off of trees.
q People paint on DRIFTWOOD, for Chrissakes.
q Where is everyone?
q What's with the music?
