: I agree with Linda. I have been coming down as a tourist for 40+ years and what makes it a charming vacation place wouldn't necessarily make it a great place to LIVE. You need to visit the Island before you make that kind of a move.
I do live and work here on Harbour Island. I don't know what type of work you are considering, but have you looked into getting a work permit? These are not easy to get and are expensive. I love living and working here, and love being a part of a small community. I do not have small children so can't answer about that part. The beauty of Harbour Island is that it's only an hour's flight from Florida if you do need a stateside fix. Judy
