From my experience, and I have been a few times and have had to buy groceries....they are plenty of little grocery stores on the island...some have better selection and have relatively high prices. But if you are going to be there for a few months....you'll have time to shop and compare. Shouldn't have to go to Spanish Wells for food....
As for getting household appliances fixed....just ask for Justin. Everyone on the islands knows him....shouldn't be too hard...
