Until about 2 years ago customs at North Eleuthera was not paying attention to food. We were bringing in other dutiable goods, declaring them and paying. Two years+ ago they started adding in the value of the food. Technically everything you have with you is dutiable less a $100 per person exemption. I bring grocery receipts but have never had the receipts or the groceries scrutinized. Remember meat is duty free. Don't bring chicken or fruit.
