You know I will never understand the hype around around you - you are so tired, it's hardly entertaining.
Nevertheless, you seem to provoke the strong attention you seek.
As this is my first cruise, I plan to enjoy it to the fullest and form my own opinions. I agree, many some people may choose to "shelter(themselves)from the real culture of the islands" - but I think that is dependent on the individual, not on the cruise, hotel etc.
Anyway, I have an open mind - my plan is to have fun.
