Hi Dee,

Your enjoyment of a vacation trip (or life in general) depends more on YOU than where you are or where you go. With his attitude and personality, I doubt that PM would be happy anywhere unless he could show his "other end"and be a smart alec. I have traveled The Bahamas including Briland almost every year since 1985 on a sailboat. Five of my family, including my wife and me, are certified scuba divers and we enjoy the waters in The Bahamas more than any other place that we've visited. I just finished a 7300 mile auto trip in Western Canada and Alaska, and my family and I went on a cruise this past June. These kinds of trips may be boring, tiresome, and time consuming for many people but we enjoy these trips. I can tell people what I enjoy but I mustn't ridicule someone else for their choice or expect them to make the same choices that I make. I know a little about Andros, but there is no way that I would want to spend four weeks there as PM said that he did, and there is no way that I have a right to ridicule him for his choice as he did with you.

I enjoyed the cruise - not as much as the other trips that I mentioned, but I had plenty of fun and I will go again. There was no continuous buffet as he says, but the dining room food was fabulous. The entertainment was good. The ship was a "no smoking ship" which added to my pleasure – but what would that do to a smoker? There were several pools, a gym and track which were used by many if not most of the guests. There was no greater percentage of obese people than in the general population. He probable speaks from great "no experience" as he usually does. Take your cruise, expect to enjoy it – and you will.

: Hey PM,

: You know I will never understand the hype around around you - you are so tired, it's hardly entertaining.

: Nevertheless, you seem to provoke the strong attention you seek.

: As this is my first cruise, I plan to enjoy it to the fullest and form my own opinions. I agree, many some people may choose to "shelter(themselves)from the real culture of the islands" - but I think that is dependent on the individual, not on the cruise, hotel etc.

: Anyway, I have an open mind - my plan is to have fun.

: Thanks to everyone who has responded!!

: I'll be back in Briland soon!

: Dee

: . : I do not have any info re: cruise ships or there private adventure islands.

: : I can tell you thought that the cruise industry is sleazy. The dump their trash in the beautiful ocean. They float around fat people that love all you can eat buffets. They shelter tourists from the real culture of the islands.

: : You are not going to the Bahamas. You are going to a floating obesity vessel. The people you will be with are the same types that are at happy hour at the localbar - except on the fat boat, it is always happy hour.

: : Cruise ship? How about calling it the LOAF BOAT?

: : The PM is officially at war with the cruise industry.

: : Official saying of 2001 'You cruise, you lose.'

: : FYI: Did you know that 45% of males between the ages of 19 and 34 that take cruises have mullets? It is true.

: : Want a hillbilly holiday - TAKE A CRUISE!!!
