Dear Harbour Island & North Eleuthera Businesses:

In partnership with the The Briland Modem, IBM Nassau is hosting the 16-20 July 2001 summer training sessions that are scheduled for the
computer center on Harbour Island. Interested students and adults alike are now registering at the Commissioner's Office to take advantage of
this program.

We'd like to discuss the development of an internship program with you, the local businesses -- resorts, government offices, grocery stores,
shops, hardware stores, galleries, homeowners, restaurants et al. -- that can benefit from working with these folks that have been trained to support your
computer networks. We'd like to start an internship program wherein these 'graduates' can work part-time -- $150 per week -- for the next four
weeks with companies on the island needing their assistance in getting their computer systems online and operational. They'll be ready to work
with you, starting Monday, 23 July 2001.

IBM Nassau will be coming to Harbour Island to spend an entire week training students and adults in the assembly of computers and
installation of a computer network. The students will then work with you to implement the training received for a two-week period, after which
the IBM Nassau team will return to the island for a two-day debriefing session to address specific issues and challenges.

Here's what the training will provide:

Day 1
Hardware Overview
The workshop participants will learn how to assemble the computers, set them up in a network and troubleshoot basic problems.

Day 2
The Windows Operating System
Introduction to the Operating System and use of the commands.

Day 3
The Internet
Use of Internet browsers and other internet applications.

Days 4 & 5
Review

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have regarding the program, via e-mail at info@briland.com.
