Have you always wanted to learn how to use a computer?
IBM Nassau and The Briland Modem is hosting its first-ever Computer Training Workshop at the Briland Community Computer Center, now located at the library on Dunmore Street. The workshop is absolutely free to all local students and adults wanting to participate, but you must attend one morning or evening session every day.

16-20 July 2001
Sir George S. Roberts Memorial Library - Dunmore Street
Morning Workshop: 8:00a - 1:00p
Evening Workshop: 4:00p - 9:00p

There are limited seats available for the sessions, so make your reservation for the morning or evening session today! Please register for the morning OR evening workshop at the Commissioner's Office. For more information or to RSVP online, please e-mail info@briland.com. Due to space constraints, these workshops are for locals only.

Day 1
Hardware Overview
Learn how to assemble the computers, set them up in a network and troubleshoot basic problems.

Days 2
The Windows Operating System
Introduction to the Operating System and use of the commands.

Day 3
The Internet
Use of Internet browsers and other Internet applications.
