What proposed Casino/Resort?
Thre is a lot to consider in a proposal like that.
1. How big will the facility be? Gonna have to be huge to make money.
2. How will the customers get there? Gonna have to have big planes/read bigger airport(s)with bigger runways to accomodate huge numbers of guests. The little strip at North Eleuthera can't accomodate the numbers of flights and Governor's Harbour needs resurfacing to accomodate larger planes that would be necessary to fill a large casino complex
3. How about water and sewer? Public water? Gonna have to overhaul any existing system either on Harbour Island or Eleuthera. Sewer? Dig a big hole........yuck, not good for the environment.
4. About those phones in-room. From what I understand, there are currently NO land lines available. The hotel gonna buy cell phones for all the guests? $$$$
5. How about staffing? Where will you get enough employees? I realize Club Med left and abandoned a lot of employees, but any new (read bigger) facility will need a lot more employees. Locals can always use the work, but what about the people from other Islands, where will they live?
6. And then there's the trash issue........I don't even want to go there....
7. Local transportation/rental vehicles and the stress on the local road systems.......and the Glass Window Bridge.
