Like Lisa we live in the City on the upper west side and are in shock over what happened yesterday. We can see the smoke from the Trade Center from our apartment and are just devastated by all that happened. I don't understand why someone would want to kill and hurt so many innocent civilians. I have no concept of what would drive someone to such evil.
Please pray for all the families that will be touched by this tragedy, all the children who now will grow up without a Mom or a Dad.
They are finding a few survivors in the rubble, as I am sure you are seeing on TV.
There is an erie feeling to the city today, few people on the street, very little traffic, and I think most people are trying to stay home and out of harms way.
Paul and I are going to give blood this afternoon.
My thoughts are with friends on Briland, who have suffered disasters, Hurricane Andrew, and more, this kind of tragedy, man made, has no rhyme or reason.
I pray you are all safe there this hurricane season.
