Hey, Dody:
Do you have any contact information for Patel? I can't get a phone number from Miami information or any information online, and they're going to be the first folks to speak to.

Thanks for any assistance that you or anyone else can offer, and say hi to Terry for me.

Kimberly

: Kimberly;
: In August (8/10), Terry Roberts (HI mechanic, purchased an HP Vectra VA 6/200 from a place in Miami called Patel Electronics. As it turns out this unit was a factory reconditioned unit sold as new for $535.00 with monitor. The problem is this; the HP has at its rear a key switch that locks and unlocks the desk top computer! The key was not in the box when the unit was unpacked in the Bahamas!! After numerous calls to Patel, no one knows anything about the key or computers for that matter.
: I turn to you for suggestions as to what I can do to help Terry get this thing up and running. Perhaps you know someone at HP that can assist in unlocking the computer without destroying it!
: The particulars of the HP are as follows:
: System #D4214N Serial #US71451105. The number etched on the key switch itself is # 81200.
: We would appreciate any suggestions you may be able to provide. Thank you in advance for you time and effort in trying to solve this most unusual problem.

: Sincerely,

: Dody- Harbour Island
