With tightened security, airlines resume Bahamas-USA flights

With new security measures in place, United States- bound flights from the Nassau International Airport have resumed with airlines seemingly feeling the start of an economic pinch. Bahamasair, the national flag carrier, resumed its services to Miami on Friday, on a restricted flight-to flight-basis. And, on Sunday, when a Guardian news team arrived at the airport although there were persons taking advantage of Bahamasair's services, it was far from the normal busy activities that one would expect.
