Every Child counts held a teacher workshop adressing the needs of students with learning difficulties that are mainstreamed in the regular classes. It was a two hour workshop that provided the teachers with take-away reproducibles and information regarding special education and literacy strategies.
The Ministry of Education collaborated with this effort by allowing the teachers a half day of school and they provided the location which was the well-equipped Savannah Sound Resource Center.
The next seminar will be held in the same place on Friday, November the 2nd. Our guest speaker will be Gail Wisdom ,principal Acadamia School in Nassau. She will be adressing more special education topics such as dyslexia and behavioral problems.
